What are the common quality defects of aluminum coils?

The aluminum coil is a metal product for flying shearing after the casting and rolling machine is rolled and bent. Aluminum coils are widely used in electronics, packaging, construction, machinery, etc. There are many aluminum coil manufacturers in my country, and the production process has caught up with developed countries. However, it is inevitable that some quality defects will be encountered in the manufacture of aluminum coils. So, what are the common quality defects of aluminum coils?

1. Composite layer shedding: irregular defects formed by the composite material clad aluminum layer leaving the matrix and shedding.

2. Embossing: the irregular color difference of the roll surface of the roll due to the wrinkle of the strip, the broken strip, etc. The color difference phenomenon that is periodically printed on the surface of the strip during the rolling process.

3. Wave: A general term for various unevenness caused by uneven deformation of plates and strips. The wave generated by the board and the edge is called the edge wave, and the wave generated in the middle is called the middle wave. The wave between the middle and the edge that is neither in the middle nor on both sides is called the two-rib wave. The size is small and usually Round waves are called breaking waves.

4. Warpage: After rolling or shearing, the edge of the strip is warped.

5. Side bending: The longitudinal sides of the board and the belt are non-straight.

6. Collapsed roll: The roll core is severely deformed and the roll shape is not round.

7. Staggered layer: The strip end layer is irregularly shifted from layer to layer, resulting in uneven end surface.

8. Tower shape: the coiled layer moves to one side to form a tower-shaped offset.

9. Unwinding: looseness between layers during winding and unwinding, which may affect the whole roll in severe cases.

10. Bird's nest: Local "V" -shaped defects occur on the end surface of the coil. This kind of defect occurs during the coiling process or after unwinding, and some will not occur until it is placed for a period of time.

The above is about the common quality defects of aluminum coils. According to the different metal elements contained in aluminum coils, aluminum coils can be roughly divided into 9 categories, that is, can be divided into 9 series: 1000 series, 2000 series aluminum plate, 3000 series aluminum plate, 4000 series Aluminum plate, 5000 series, 6000 series, 7000 series, 8000 series, 9000 series.
